Hello!

Hi, my name is Candice! I am a Board Certified Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Holistic Energy Healing Practitioner located in central Michigan. My journey to health has taken a long and winding path and I came to this career later in life than most. I am a person who is familiar with many levels of the human condition and as a result, I can relate with trauma, abuse, addiction, and loss. I believe this gives me a unique perspective as a Naturopath and also the ability to relate with my clients and meet them where they are at.

My passion is to educate and empower my clients to embrace health and wholeness as a choice for their lives. I am dedicated to finding the root cause of illness while we work to reignite the body’s ability to heal.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I have a moral conviction to only use supplements as a supplement, not a main focus of health care. I encourage my clients to re-establish their relationships with food, water, sleep, and self care which are the cores of our health and employ supplements only when needed. For indeed, true health is not a pill we swallow, it is the way in which we manage and master our own lives.

My intention is to live my life in the most genuine, open, and loving way I can and to participate in helping others travel their unique journey of healing with grace, courage, peace, and health.

Training and Credentials

Dr Candice earned her credentials as a Traditional Naturopathic Doctor through the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education. She began teaching at the institute while still a student and instructed the Meridian Work and Light Healing Touch course and Anatomy III while also seeing private clients through the Institute. During this time she became a Certified Holistic Energy Healing Practitioner through Healing in America, an Energy Healing School founded in the UK. Following her work with the Naturopathic Institute, Dr. Candice advanced her training even farther with Visceral Manipulation and she learned a second form of Craniosacral Therapy through the Barral Institute and Upledger Institute respectively. She is now a Teaching Assistant at the world renowned Barral Institute. Dr. Candice has shifted her practice to focus her energies on working primarily with the Amish at several locations throughout central Michigan and into the UP. She also sees private non-Amsih clients in Midland, St. Louis, and Marquette on a monthly basis. Dr. Candice highly values living a healthy and happy life. She loves to cook and values food as the root of her good health, and she is passionate about pilates and her daily walks. She loves to hike in the woods in the rain, read fun fantasy books to break up the scholarly ones, wild-harvest plants for herbal medicine, and to do puzzles in her comfy pants with a mug of tea.
